Worked on this small scale gasifier over the summer researching ways to construct it with out welding. Our first test using JB Weld was not so good! It worked for about ten minutes before it melted the weld at about 500 degrees. Air entered the char chamber and it quickly went to over 650 before we shut it down. I then went to the local auto parts store and got some real good high temperature stuff and proved it to was a little to wimpy for 500 plus degrees even though it was rated for 1000 degrees. I am going to keep trying to build a unit that can be constructed with no welding and hopefully make it possible for anyone to build there own pellet powered rocket boots or what ever you need. I will keep you updated on the progress.

I can say I would like to be a little more prepared for what seems to be an endless list of possible apocalyptic predictions. What ever happen to the good old days when it was just locusts or nukes? Well I am going to start looking at what I can do to prepare for the best of the worst. Thanks for everyone that has visited in the last few days, things will be better when we are prepared. Can you guess what the picture below is? Leave a comment.
